Merkaba Tattoo Covid-19 control plan.

Staff include: Mallory Swinchock

• All Staff will have their temperature taken initially when reporting for work. Daily temperatures will be reported on break sheet and to immediate supervisor.

• Staff showing any of the following symptoms will stay home from work for 10 days from the start of symptoms, and until symptom-free for 72 hours (CDC guidelines) OR no symptoms and 2 negative antigen tests 24 hours apart.

1) Fever above 99 degrees Fahrenheit (encouraged to take at home).

2) Dry Cough

3) Fatigue, Chills, Body Aches

4) Sore Throat

5) Gastrointestinal Nausea, Vomiting or Diarrhea

6) Acute loss of sense of taste or smell

7) New onset chest pressure, pain or discomfort

• Any staff with known direct contact with a COVID 19 patient must self-quarantine for 10 days and be symptom-free for a minimum of 72 hours before returning for work or have 2 negative antigen tests 24 hours apart and follow Santa Barbara county health and CDC guidelines.

• All staff must wear a face mask at all times in contact with client or the public and practice social distancing with a 6 ft. workspace separation when feasible.

• Staff must wear a mask with any patient or public interaction. No more than one client is to be booked per working day.

• In exam rooms staff and client must both wear masks, and staff must wear disposable gloves

• Waiting room pass through: patients go directly to the exam room after check in.

• Only the client and one family member (or friend who is driving them), present for appointment.

• Handwashing for a minimum of 20 seconds or hand sanitizer used before and after each client care interaction, after using the restroom, before and after lunch and after touching any potential infected surfaces.

• Staff encouraged not to touch face, nose, eyes and mouth

• Staff will wipe down all surfaces every 2 hours with disinfectant wipes or spray

• At the end of the day wipe down your computer, phone and workstation with a disinfectant wipe.

• A sign with symptoms and the policy for Covid-19 will be posted at the front of the studio.


Tattoo Room Management

• Clients scheduled for appointment must attest that he/she:

1) Has maintained social distancing measures, including no travel out of state in the last two weeks

2) Has not had any direct contact with a COVID 19 patient for the last 14 days

3) Has no symptoms of Covid-19 infection including cough, fever, chills, shaking, loss of smell, GI upset and chest pain.
